Diego Gutiérrez de Humanes (1607-1660s) was a Spanish Military, and Lieutenant Governor of the Santa Fe during the Viceroyalty of Peru.[1]
Biography
Diego born 1607 in Buenos Aires, was the son of Pedro Gutiérrez and Mayor Humanés de Molina (both Spaniards).[2] His wife was Leonor Carbajal, daughter of Gonzalo Carbajal (alcalde).[3] In 1633 Diego Gutiérrez de Humanes, was elected Alcalde de la santa hermandad, in the town of Monte Grande.[4] His brother Juan Gutierrez de Humanes, was Alcalde in second vote in the Cabildo of Buenos Aires.[5]
Diego Gutiérrez de Humanes, and his brother had received land grant in Parana, Santa Lucía, and in the present territories of San Pedro and Arrecifes.[6]
