Derrill's Race
Derrill's Race was an annual 5k race along the Manhan Rail Trail. The race was in memory of Sergeant Derrill Stoddard, an Easthampton police detective, who died from Leukemia. The race was sponsored by the members and companies of the surrounding community. All proceeds were donated to The Cam Neely Foundation and Derrill's Race Scholarship Fund. Runners and walkers start at the Easthampton Police Department and ends at Wellness Within Chiropractic. There is also a one-mile kid's race that takes place before the adult race. The last race was run in 2011.[1]
