Death in Blackpool is an audio drama based on the long-running British science fiction television series Doctor Who.[1] This audio drama was produced by Big Finish Productions.
Plot
The Doctor takes Lucie home to have Christmas with her family, because she has fond memories of past family Christmas events. Unfortunately this will be a different kind of Christmas 2009 - because this one has the Doctor in it.
Cast
- The Doctor — Paul McGann
- Lucie Miller — Sheridan Smith
- Aunty Pat - Helen Lederer
- Billy - David Schofield
- Father Christmas - Jon Glover
- Natasha/Marika - Harriet Kershaw
Continuity
- Aunty Pat was last heard in The Zygon Who Fell to Earth, where she was played by Lynsey Hardwick and written by her creator Paul Magrs.
- Big Finish Podcast (April 2009) advertised this as the final audio drama to feature Lucie Miller as a companion of the Eighth Doctor.[2]
Broadcast
Death in Blackpool was broadcast on digital radio station BBC Radio 4 Extra on 8 Jan 2013 as a single hour long episode.[3][4]
