David Rolph Seely

David Rolph Seely is a professor of ancient scripture at Brigham Young University (BYU). He has written several books and articles related to the Old Testament and the Book of Mormon. Among these are Glimpses of Lehi's Jerusalem which he co-edited with John W. Welch and Jo Ann H. Seely.

Seely has a BA in Greek and an MA in Classics, both from BYU. He also has an MA and Ph.D. in Ancient and Biblical Studies, both of which are from the University of Michigan. He has been a member of the BYU faculty since 1987.

Seely is a Latter-day Saint.
