Datura is a first-person adventure game firstly released in 2012 by Sony Computer Entertainment for PlayStation 3.[1] It was developed by the Polish demogroup Plastic.[2]

Gameplay

Datura can be played with either the PlayStation Move or the DualShock 3.[3] The player starts as a patient in an ambulance, from which ends up mysteriously in a forest.[3][4] The gameplay is built upon the exploration of the forest, where the player can interact with objects and other characters.[3][4]

Reception

The game was received mildly by critics. It has a score of 57/100 on Metacritic, stating "Mixed or average reviews based on 45 Critics".[5] IGN gave the game 6/10, praising the atmospheric elements, but criticising the shortness and the clumsiness of the gameplay.[3] GameSpot heavily criticised the shortness and the lack of clarity in the plot, giving the game 4/10.[4] Kotaku commended its originality, yet defined the overall experience of Datura as "Confusing, unsatisfying, and ultimately fleeting".[6] Similarly, Eurogamer praised the experimental feeling, but gave the game an overall 5/10.[7]
