Record Label

Dancing Turtle Records was launched in 2005, with a remit to produce music from emerging artists around the world. It has released music from artists in countries including Japan, West Papua, Brazil, Italy and the UK. The label's management division looks after the interests of The Lani Singers and Inkliing.[1]

Digital Media

With a growing demand from companies seeking development and management of their digital presences, Dancing Turtle Media launched in 2008. It acts as a digital production and social media agency, with a client roster that includes music group Asian Dub Foundation, the music festival Green Man, dub music label On-U Sound,[2] music website DJhistory, as well as Strawberry Fields in Ethiopia. The agency's production department has worked with media outlets including the BBC and Channel 4 News.

Film Production

Dancing Turtle Films launched in 2010, seeking to produce films that explore current affairs stories that are not usually covered by mainstream media. The multi-award winning undercover documentary Forgotten Bird of Paradise, was the company's first production. Other subjects their films have covered include anti-government protests in Turkey, the self-determination struggle in Western Sahara, and a biopic on a former British soldier who claims to be the reincarnation of King Arthur. Most recently they released The Road to Home, a feature-length documentary on the life and times of Nobel Peace Prize nominee Benny Wenda, a musician, political activist and leader of the West Papua independence struggle
