Conus minimus is a species of sea snail, a marine gastropod mollusk in the family Conidae, the cone snails, cone shells or cones.[1]
These snails are predatory and venomous. They are capable of "stinging" humans.
Conus minimus Hwass in Bruguière, 1792 is a nomen dubium and is invalid as a junior homonym of Conus minimus Linnaeus, 1758, which, in turn, is a nomenclaturally invalid name, placed on the Official Index of Invalid and Rejected Specific Names in Zoology (ICZN Opinion n°753)))
Description
The size of the shell attains 10 mm.
Distribution
This marine species occurs in the Atlantic Ocean off Sal Island, Cape Verdes.
