Coimbatore North Junction railway station

Coimbatore North Junction (Station Code:CBF) is a railway junction located in city of Coimbatore,[1] in the state of Tamil Nadu in India. The railway line to Mettupalayam and onwards to Ooty branches off from here.

Plans are afoot to build 2 more platforms here and the approach roads are being repaired. Also the station is to be modernised with more facilities like refreshment stalls, waiting rooms, retiring rooms, more pit and stabling lines and a better concourse. If more trains stopped here it would drastically ease the pressure on Coimbatore Junction.
