Clare Haughey MSP is a Scottish politician who is a Scottish National Party (SNP) member of Scottish Parliament for Rutherglen, elected in the Scottish Parliament election, 2016.
Nursing career
Haughey trained as a mental health nurse and worked as a clinical nurse manager.[1]
Political career
In September 2015 the SNP branch selected her as the candidate for Rutherglen constituency, ahead of the 2016 Scottish Parliament election.[2] The constituency had been held by Labour until the election in May 2016 when Haughey was elected, defeating the incumbent James Kelly.[3]
