Christopher Tafoya (born June 2, 1976), better known by his stage name Sleep, is an alternative hip hop artist based in Portland, Oregon.[1][2][3][4][5][6][7][8][9] He is a founding member of the Pacific Northwest hip hop collective Oldominion,[10] and collaborates with Josh Martinez as The Chicharones.[11][12][13][14] He is currently signed to Strange Famous Records.[15]
Projects
Sleep released his debut album, Riot by Candlelight, in 2002.[16] His second album, Christopher, was released in 2005 (and then re-released with bonus tracks in 2009)[17] and his third album,[18] Hesitation Wounds, was released in 2009, both on Strange Famous Records.[19] Sleep's fourth solo album, Oregon Failure, was released on April 15, 2014.[20] The entire album is produced by Maulskull.[21]
