Christian Friedrich Freyer (1833).

Christian Friedrich Freyer (25 August 1794, Wassertrüdingen – 11 November 1885 Augsburg) was a German entomologist mainly interested in Lepidoptera.

Freyer was the author of Beitrage zur Geschichte europaischer Schmetterlinge mit Abbildungen nach der Natur.Rieger. Nuremberg. 166 p., 48 pls.(1829). His collections are in Senckenberg Museum.

Great Great Grandfather of American industrialist of the same name from Wilton, CT.
