Charles Mariano Robinson (born February 2, 1984) is a video director who films music videos and commercials.

He attended Fairmont Heights High School (Maryland) in Capitol Heights, Maryland. In high-school he was known as very talented musician and pianist.

Robinson is known for shooting videos for artists such as Waka Flocka, Young Buck,[1] Shawty Lo, to filming commercials for Comcast, AT&T, and the W Hotels.

Early life

At a very young age, Charles took up playing the piano in which his mother and grandfather were versed in. His first public performance was for a talent show in elementary school. Charles attended Greenbelt Middle School in Greenbelt, Maryland. While in high school, he ran into problems with the law. To turn his life around he joined the gospel choir led by Maurice Crenshaw, music teacher. This helped him stay focused and excel thru the rest of his high-school years. While a Sophomore, Junior, and Senior in school, he performed at the high school's graduation ceremonies which took place at the now demolished—USAir Arena—Capital Centre.

Musician

While in college at Middle Tennessee State University, Charles aligned himself with a band, "Big Fella and Te' Arthur" in which they won the 2003 Grammy Showcase Award in Nashville.[2] While in the band they got to travel all across the south to play at numerous venues and concerts. "Hot-Buttered Throwback Soul, have emerged as one of Nashville's most talked-about new bands after a memorable performance at the 2003 Nashville Grammy Showcase. The band won the top prize and competed with the region's best performers." – (Nashville Scene 2003)

Music videos

Charles studied his unfound love of photography while in college, and gradually moved up to video production. He also had a TV show entitled Northern Lights with fellow companions Jason Burks, Michael Faber, and D'Marcus Mayes. The TV show highlighted his and the band's career while on tour after winning the Grammy in a documentary style.

He later attempted to shoot his first music video for Damien Williams and Courtney Aldridge. The first major video entitled "Get Cha Money" (2006) by Bezzeled Gang, which was shot in HD, was the beginning of Charles' professional career.
