Carney, County Tipperary

Carney (Charnaí in Irish)[1] is a place in North Tipperary. It is in the parish of Kildangan. There also was a school. It is located 5 minutes from Puckane. It is located approximately 7 minutes from Nenagh and 15 minutes from local town Borrisokane.

Local famous people include Shane MacGowan who is lead singer in The Pogues.
