Carmel Higher Secondary School Chalakudy

Carmel Higher Secondary School is a prominent institution established and managed by Carmelites of Mary Immaculate(CMI) fathers. [1] It is situated in Chalakudy town, near Chalakudy railway station in India. The school has a history of near to 40 years. It was the first English medium school in Chalakudy town.

School History

Carmel Higher Secondary School, Chalakudy, established and administered by Carmel Bhavan, Chalakudy, CMI Congregation of Devamatha Province, Thrissur began functioning on 16 July 1975. The school founded by the great visionary Rev. Fr. Gabriel CMI, the Provincial of Devamatha Province of the CMI Congregation has completed 4 decades of glorious service. Carmel H.S.S. is an unaided institution recognized by the Government of Kerala. The medium of instruction is English.

Current school events

The present Head of the institution is Rev.Fr Jose Thanickal CMI. The school has 2082 pupils. [2] Carmel is doing much charity work for the poor students in Chalakudy. Carmel is known for its academic and co curricular excellence all over Kerala.
