Cao Shui
Cao Shui(simplified Chinese: 曹谁; traditional Chinese: 曹誰; pinyin: Cáo Shuí;born June 5, 1982), also Shawn Cao or Who Cao, is a Chinese poet, novelist, screenwriter, who leads the greatpoemism movement, as in his Declaration of Greatpoem he want to integrate sacred and secular cultures, oriental and occidental cultures, ancient and modern cultures in Chinese literature.[1] His works are dedicated to rebuild a Republic of whole human being with freedom, which always described as Eurasia, the Top of the Tower of Babel or Kunlun Mountains [2][3](Heaven Mountains). As of 2012,ten books of Cao Shui have been published, including three poem collections, two essay collections and five novels.
Life
Cao Shui was born in Yushe, Shanxi, China. He got his bachelor's degree of Chinese literature at Qinghai Nationality University in 2006. He had been an international editor of a newspaper in Xining for two years until he resigned for freedom. After resignation he travelled around Tibet and Xinjiang, which is the center of Eurasia or World in his mind.
After return to Xining, he began his professional writing career.
Reception
Cao Shui, who prompting the Greatpoemism movement, is one of leading poets[4] of Chinese pioneer poem movement.[5] His novels The Secret of Heaven or The Tower Babel Code trilogy telling the whole developing history of human civilization receive unexceptional good reaction from both critics and readers.[6][7] He was recommended to Luxun Academy of Literature, which is regarded as ‘cradle of Chinese writers’, for twice, one is Chinese Course and the other is English Course.
