CPL Aromas is a British fragrance company founded in December 1971,with headquarters in Bishop's Stortford, England. It is owned and managed by the Pickthall family, and its directors are Bruce Forbes, Jim Dunsdon, Terry Pickthall, Francis Pickthall, Chris Pickthall, Nick Pickthall, Peter Jacobs and Mark Kalinowski.
History
Various members of the Pickthall family were involved in the perfume industry since the early twentieth century, including Jack Pickthall and Geoff Pickthall, both of whom held senior positions in the industry as creative perfumers and cosmetic chemists.
Michael Pickthall, a senior perfumer with International Flavors & Fragrances (IFF), and his brother Terence Pickthall FCA who worked as a senior accountant at a number of firms, started Contemporary Perfumers Limited (CPL).
Its audited accounts for the year ended 31 March 2014 showed sales of £68.4 M ($110M).[2]
