Buckley Barracks is a British Army barracks located 4.4 miles (7.1 km) north of Chippenham, Wiltshire and 15 miles (24 km) west of Swindon, Wiltshire, England.
History
Main article: Hullavington Airfield
The barracks are located on the former RAF Hullavington, now Hullavington Airfield. They were renamed Buckley Barracks, after the VC winner John Buckley, when they opened in 2003.[1] In November 2016 the Ministry of Defence announced that the site would close in 2029.[2]
Current use
The barracks are currently occupied by 9 Theatre Logistic Regiment Royal Logistic Corps (RLC).[3]
