Brynjulf Blix (born December 20, 1951 in Oslo)[1] is a Norwegian pianist. First known from his collaboration with Terje Rypdal, Blix received broader notoriety as a member of the group "Alex", supporting the singer Alex Naumik.[2] His unique style, combining jazz and blues has been heard on countless of recordings. Blix is also known for his extended knowledge of electronic music and computer science.

During the last decade Blix has withdrawn somewhat from performing, concentrating on his writing, only lately to be appearing in Norway and Scandinavia with the band PATEYs PIPE.[3] He currently works as a computer journalist for DinSide.[4]
