Bristol Pride
Bristol Pride is an annual event in the city of Bristol in the UK, which champions equality and diversity across the South West. The first Pride in Bristol was held in 1977 as a fundraiser for the Gay News blasphemy trial.[1] The first Pride run by the current organisers in Bristol occurred in 2010, events in following years were headlined by acts such as Kelis, Martha Wash, Blue, Sophie Ellis-Bextor and Lisa Stansfield.

Pride occurs on the second weekend each July in Bristol in Castle Park, the event in 2012 was moved to College Green, Bristol due to the presence of an English Defence League march in the city centre. From 2016 the Festival moved from Castle Park to the Bristol Harbourside to Millennium Square and the Amphitheatre.[2]
Bristol Pride remains a free to attend festival, though organisers have highlighted the need for donations and funding for the festival to keep it open.
