Brent Gauvreau (born June 29, 1980 in Sudbury, Ontario) is a Canadian former professional ice hockey player, who last played for the Utah Grizzlies in the ECHL.[1]
Playing career
Gauvreau played major junior hockey in the Ontario Hockey League for the Oshawa Generals. In his last junior season, his fourth with the Generals, he was given the Captaincy. He was initially drafted 120th overall in the 1998 NHL Entry Draft by the Calgary Flames before going unsigned and re-entered back into the draft to be selected 186th overall in the 2000 NHL Entry Draft by the Phoenix Coyotes.
He played for the High1 of South Korea (2008–09), Storhamar Dragons of Hamar, Norway (2004–05) and Hockey Club Pustertal-Val Pusteria. He also captained the Oshawa Generals.
