Boustead College (天津商业大学宝德学院 baode xuéyuàn) is a private, four year independent college in Tianjin, China. Authorized by the Ministry of Education and established by Tianjin University of Commerce (TUC), Boustead College completed the legal entity registration process in October 2004 as an independent college. The college is part of the Raffles Education Corporation of Singapore.[1]

Tianjin University of Commerce (TUC), which was founded in 1980, is considered a multidisciplinary and comprehensive university with a complete curriculum that includes Business, Management, Technology, Literature, Law, and Science, mainly fostering talent in the field of Business Administration and Engineering Technology. Boustead College selected 11 of the TUC majors to form the core of the curriculum, including Business Administration, Economics, Computer Science, Hospitality Management,[2] Literature and Foreign Languages. Boustead College has access to the teaching materials of TUC, as well as its qualified teachers and labs.

Boustead College is located in Tianjin’s Third Area for Higher Learning in the Xi Qing District and is situated at the former site of the China Netcom’s Education Training Center of Post and Telecommunications. The college now occupies an area of 227 mu with a floor space of almost 61,000 square meters. The floor space for teaching and administration is 40,700 thousand square meters in total. The college has established multi-media lecture rooms, computer labs and other specialized facilities, which are enough to meet the requirements of students on campus. There is a track for running, a gymnasium and basketball, volleyball and badminton courts. A new $8 million SGD academic building will be completed in 2012.[3] The Raffles Design Institute, Tianjin is located on the Boustead College campus in Block H.[4]
