Boualem Charef is an Algerian football manager who is currently the manager of Algerian Ligue Professionnelle 1 club USM El Harrach. His tenure with USMH is the longest of all the current league managers.[1]
Career
Charef was a graduate of the Institut des Sciences et Technologies du Sport in Algiers. During his studies there, he was also the assistant coach to Ali Benfeddad, manager of USM Alger.[2]
In July 2003, Charef was selected by Algeria national football team manager Rabah Saâdane to be his assistant.[3]
On October 1, 2012, Charef was suspended by six months by the league for unsportsmanlike conduct towards a referee.[4]
