Bob Mackowycz, Sr.

Bob Mackowycz was an announcer on CILQ (Q-107), Canada's biggest rock radio station. He was heard most notably on The 6 O'Clock Rock Report from at least 1978. He began at Q-107 in 1977, its first year of operation.

Named as program director in 1987, Mackowycz left CILQ the same year to work for Standard Broadcasting.

In 1988, Mackowycz left Standard Broadcasting to join CKFM.[1]

Mackowycz is the father of Bob Mackowycz, Jr., former host of CBC Radio 2's Radio 2 Morning.
