Bishop of Las Vegas
On June 28, 1995 the Most Reverend Daniel F. Walsh, D.D. was made the first Bishop of Las Vegas by Pope John Paul II. The current Bishop as of 2005 is Monsignor Joseph A. Pepe, who was established as the ordinary of the Diocese of Las Vegas in 2001. The bishop's throne is located at Guardian Angel Cathedral and the diocese's metropolitan bishop is the Archbishop of San Francisco. Pepe is also a member of the Board of Trustees at The Catholic University of America.
