Bikanta

Bikanta is a startup biotech company engaged in the development of clinical products that focus on detection of cancer by inserting fluorescent nanodiamonds.[1][2] In 2014, Bikanta participated in the Y Combinator program and was one of the four companies backed by Y Combinator.[3][4][5] The company claims to have developed a cancer screening technology capable of detecting cancer early by use of nanodiamonds capable of stopping cancer from spreading any further.[6][7][8] In an interview with Techcrunch, founder Dr. Ambika Bumb said that current technologies cannot detect micrometastatic tumors, whereas Bikanta's can.[9]

The company was founded in 2013 and is based at Berkeley, California.[10] Bikanta has raised $120k in seed funding from 5 Investors in 2014.[11][12]
