"Big Sur" is the third single released by Irish band The Thrills, off their debut album So Much for the City. It was released on 9 June 2003. The song reached number 17 on the UK Charts, making it the most successful single release from the band so far.[1] The song contains elements from "(Theme from) The Monkees". The song is about Californian tourist destination Big Sur.
