Ben de Pear
Benjamin de Pear (born 5 December 1970) is the Editor of Channel 4 News, since 2012.
Early life
He was born in Hammersmith. He has an older sister, an artist.
Career
Sky News
He joined Sky News in 1994; from 1996-2000 he was their Foreign Producer.
Channel 4 News
He joined Channel 4 News in 2005 as a Senior Foreign Producer. He became Foreign Editor in 2008. He became Head of Channel 4 News in August 2012.[1]
Personal life
In September 2003 he married Leila Amanpour (a British-Iranian photojournalist, born 1972, and lived in Iran until 1980) in the Royal Borough of Kensington and Chelsea. They live in Shepherd's Bush, off the A4020.
