Belen in Spring 2014 posed for the cover[33] of SportWeek achieving success and in that same period Belen[34] designed and produced, along with Cecilia,[34] the costumes of the new beachwear line entitled Me Fui for the summer of 2014,[34] period when Belen became testimonial of Samsung's mobile phones. In the spring-summer of 2014 Belen was model and testimonial (with Stefano De Martino, at that time her first husband) of Richmond Perfumes.[35] In January 2015[36] definitely ended the professional relationship, which began ten years ago, between Belen Rodriguez and Milan fashion shows for John Richmond in favor of the Venezuelan model Mariana Rodríguez[36] assisted by Paola Benegas (who ten years earlier had launched Belen in the world of fashion: this news caused[36] a sensation at the Italian press for this reason,[36] but also because of the alleged relationship, that in reality does not exist,[36] between "the two Rodríguez" launched by the agency of Paola Benegas at Milan fashion shows of Richmond, that are Belen and Mariana). Belen in September 2016 lost Vanitas line in favour to Madalina Ghenea.[37]

Belén Rodríguez, during her career, posed for different calendars, some of them naked, obtaining much success.[38] In the summer of 2005 Belén posed for the first time[39][40] naked for the Vuemme Calendar 2006 (published in late 2005 for the year 2006) of which she was the only protagonist. In the autumn of 2005 Belén posed naked[41] for the De Nardi Calendar 2006 (published in late 2005 for the year 2006) along with three models (Eva Collini, Nena Ristić and Ainett Stephens).[41] In the summer of 2006 Belén posed naked for the Fer Calendar 2007 (published in late 2006 for the year 2007) of which she was the only protagonist.[42][43] In the summer of 2007 she posed naked for the Maxim Calendar 2008 (published in late 2007 for the year 2008) of which she was the only protagonist.[44][45] In the summer of 2008 she posed naked[46][47] for the Max Calendar 2009 (published in late 2008 for the year 2009) which she was the only protagonist. In the autumn of 2009 Belén posed naked with her sister Cecilia to Max Calendar 2010 (published in late 2009 for the year 2010) arousing much interest (also because this nude calendar featured the debut of her sister Cecilia).[48] Between late 2009 and early 2010, Vuemme published a Calendar Vuemme 2010 with Belén as the only protagonist: this calendar is simply a reprint[40] than the previous one (2006) that Vuemme realized thanks to higher reputation in the meantime reached by Belén.[49] In the summer of 2010 Belén posed for the Maxim glamour calendar for the year 2011. In the autumn of 2010 Belén posed for the TIM glamour calendar for the year 2011; after January 2011, in view of the conduct of the 61st Festival of Sanremo, Belén has finally abandoned the business of calendars.

In the summer of 2009 Belén Rodríguez won acclaim from the Italian public because she posed naked for Number 7 (July/August 2009) of Playboy Italia (the Italian ediction of Playboy).[50][51] Speaking of Playboy, on 18 February 2009[52] Belén declared, in an interview with Corriere della Sera,[52] that a few years before she had refused[52] a proposal to pose nude for the cover of Playboy Miami preferring to remain in Italy to pose for a fashion shoot for an Emilian company.[52] In July 2012[53] the Italian tabloids reported the news[54] according to which the US edition of Playboy would contact Belén to pose naked[55] for the cover and centerfold of August, but subsequently this news was denied.[56]

In the summer of 2013[57] the Italian press brought the news[58] according to which Belén, through the agency of Paola Benegas, would receive[59] some job offers by the staff of the international lingerie brand Victoria's Secret,[60] but it came to nothing. Between 2004 and 2012 Belén Rodríguez took part, as a model, to the evening-events, conducted by Emanuela Folliero on Rete 4, named Sfilata d'amore e moda that succeeded in that years. In the spring-summer of 2015 the experience[61] of Me Fui was repeated successfully and in this period caused[62] a sensation in the Italian media[62] the decision of Paul Marciano[62] to choose Belén as a new flagship model[62] and new worldwide testimonial[62] of Guess? (a role previously entrusted to celebrities such as Claudia Schiffer, Adriana Lima and Paris Hilton) alongside the current testimonials Charlotte McKinney and Gigi Hadid; namely[63] Paul Marciano chose Belén Rodríguez for spring-summer of 2016 season (photo taken in October 2015)[63] and the autumn-winter of 2016-2017 season (photo taken in April 2016).[64] In the spring-summer of 2016 Belén and Cecilia[65] have successfully repeated[66] the experience of Me Fui.[67]

Singer

In the spring of 2007, the singer Taiyo Yamanouchi, during the run of Tintoria on Rai 3, proposed to Belén an exclusive contract to launch her toward a potential musical career, but she (who was the Taiyo Yamanouchi's partner in the conduction of that program) rejected the offer preferring to continue her career as model, showgirl and actress.[68] In the autumn of 2007 Belén Rodríguez became, with Claudia Galanti,[69] the female lead of the videoclip Boyfriend released in 2008 within Steal Hear, album of the rapper Coolio.[70]

In the summer of 2009 Rodríguez made her debut as singer with the song Dai muovi muovi written by Mario Gardini and composed by Giovanni Paolo Fontana and Roberto De Luca: this song was the theme song of the Sarabanda's edition hosted by Belén on Canale 5 in that period. In February 2010[71] Belén debuted, as a singer contestant,[71] at the Teatro Ariston with Aeroplani, single of Toto Cutugno that she sang at the 2010 Sanremo Festival in a duet with Cutugno. In February 2015 during the Sanremo's Festival, Belén with the stage name of Maria Belén released the single Amarti è folle, written and arranged by Fortunato Zampaglione for the soundtrack of the film Non c'è due senza te.[3]

Maldives scandal with Fabrizio Corona

The relationship of Belén Rodríguez with Fabrizio Corona, began in January 2009[16] and ended in April 2012,[17] has often been at the center of Italian gossip arousing various controversies and various disputes: for example, in April 2009 the paparazzi of Novella 2000 have photographed Corona naked after a sexual relationship with Belén consumed in public places in the Maldives, a state in which Sharia prohibiting such behavior, and this photo shoot, that was published in Italy on 24 April,[102] sparked various controversies.
