Beauty Queen is a Philippine drama directed by Joel Lamangan. The series stars Iza Calzado, Katrina Halili and Maggie Wilson as rival beauty queens. It premiered October 18, 2010, on GMA Network, replacing Endless Love on GMA's telebabad block.[1] The show also broadcast internationally through GMA Pinoy TV, premiering on October 20, 2010. On September 12, 2013-December 12, 2013 and April 15, 2015-present it re-airs its English-dubbed version worldwide via GMA Life TV.
Synopsis
Maita is a young woman whose dream is to follow her mother's footsteps. Her mother was a beauty queen. Maita is the result of her troubled past. Maita would be in her mother's situation as she had fallen in love with Marc, a man from high society. What will become of her as she enters the world of beauty queens? Will she pursue the crown or love?
The show includes two former beauty queens, 1969 Miss Universe Gloria Diaz and 1973 Miss Universe Margie Moran.
