Baselga di Pinè (German: Wasilig-Pineid) is a comune (municipality) in Trentino in the Italian region Trentino-Alto Adige/Südtirol, located about 12 kilometres (7 mi) northeast of Trento. As of 31 December 2006, it had a population of 4,742 and an area of 40.8 square kilometres (15.8 sq mi).[1]
The municipality of Baselga di Pinè contains the frazioni (subdivisions, mainly villages and hamlets) Miola, Faida, Ricaldo, Sternigo, Montagnaga, Baselga, Vigo, Tressilla, Rizzolaga, and San Mauro
Baselga di Pinè borders the following municipalities: Valfloriana, Segonzano, Lona-Lases, Bedollo, Telve, Palù del Fersina, Fornace, Sant'Orsola Terme, and Pergine Valsugana. It is situated at the southern end of Lago della Serraia.
