The Barrie Public Library is the library system of Barrie, Ontario with two branches, one which opened in 1996 in downtown Barrie, near the City Hall, and the new Painswick branch[1] near Yonge Street and Big Bay Point Road, opened in spring 2012.
History
The library system was incorporated in 1862, and the first reading room was established in 1871.[2]
