Barahachhetra is a village development committee in Sunsari District in the Kosi Zone of south-eastern Nepal. At the time of the 1991 Nepal census it had a population of 8602 people living in 1695 individual households.[1] Among 4 chhetra in hindu mythology 2 falls in India and 2 in Nepal that is Kuruchhetra & Dharmachhetra in India and Barahachhetra & Muktichhetra in Nepal.
Kumba mela
In every 12 year kumbha mela is organizing since 2058B.S.in chataradham .The second kumbha mela was held in 2070B.S.It is of One month.This time more than 6 lakhs people visited.
