Barış Coşkun (born July 2, 1984) is a Turkish ice hockey defenceman. Currently, he plays in the Turkish Ice Hockey Super League for Zeytinburnu BS. The 1.86 m (6 ft 1 in) tall player at 90 kg (200 lb) shoots rightt-handed.[1] He also coaches his team.[2]
Sporting career
Coşkun is a member of the Istanbul-based ice hockey team Zeytinburnu Belediyespor, he entered in the 2012-13 season.[1] He also serves as the team coach.[2]
He enjoyed winning the Turkish Ice Hockey Super League twice in the 2014–15 and 2015–16 seasons.[1][2][3] He played at the first round matches of the 2015–16 IIHF Continental Cup in Belgrade, Serbia and 2016–17 IIHF Continental Cup in Sofia, Bulgaria.[4] His team became group champion in the 2016-17 Cup's first round, and advanced to the second round.[5]
