Bandidhoo (Dhivehi: ބަނޑިދޫ) is one of the inhabited islands of Dhaalu Atoll. Bandidhoo has a hospital (Bandidhoo health Centre) and a school (Bandidhoo school teaching from pre-School to grade 10),
Main economic activity of the island is fishing and bandidhoo is famous for its number of fishing boats (approx: 25).... also, the islanders now have started to earn money by doing construction works and some people are going to nearby resorts to work...
Like other islands, bandidhoo was also hit by Tsunami and had made harder for people to progress and develop. Few people even lost lives and Some of the people were seriously hurt... however now we can see that the island has recovered from the losses and returned to their previous life...
Bandidhoo also has a harbour to enable faster loading and unloading for boats... this harbour was expanded and reopened in 5 march 2016 by president abdulla yameen
