Bhakhtiyar Irani is an Indian Parsee film and television actor who has participated in Indian television reality shows. He has appeared in the reality dance series Nach Baliye, paired with his wife Tanaaz Irani. In 2009, the couple became participants in Bigg Boss.

Career

Bhakhtiyar Irani surprised everyone as he turned out to be the surprise package on the popular dance show Nach Baliye in which he participated with his wife Tanaaz Irani. Subsequently he participated in another reality dance series, Zara Nachke Dikha (2008). He was a contestant on the show Zor Ka Jhatka: Total Wipeout.[1] In the same year, he appeared in Himesh Reshammiya and Urmila Matondkar starrer, Karzzzz (2008) playing the role of Dr. Dayal, played by Jalal Agha in the original.[2] He also appeared as an extra dancer in the song "Koi Mil Gaya" in Kuch Kuch Hota Hai {wearing a yellow shirt behind Shahrukh Khan}. He along with his wife Tannaz Irani both have their Dance Academy TEE&BEE in Dubai.[3] He also appeared in a number of reality dance shows broadcast in Doordarshan National Channel.

He has also seen in Bigg Boss 6 as short guest appearance.[4]

Personal life

Irani is the younger brother of TV and film actress Delnaaz Irani and ex brother-in-law of actor Rajiv Paul. He is married to Tanaaz Irani with a son named Zeus. He has "Zeus" tattooed on his left arm. Bhakhtiyar is seven years younger to his wife whom he met during the shoot of a TV Serial. Later they fell in love and decided to marry each other. At first, his family was against his decision, but his older sister Delnaaz and his elder brother Paurus Irani, convinced the family. Paurus is a former model and medical doctor from Grant Medical College, J.J. Hospital, Mumbai.

He worked with his sister Delnaaz in Yes Boss, where he played on-screen brother to his off-screen sister.

He graduated from Rutgers University with a B.A..
