The badminton men's doubles tournament at the 2016 Summer Olympics took place from 11 to 20 August at Riocentro - Pavilion 4. On July 21, the seeding was decided.[1]
The medals were presented by Li Lingwei, IOC member, China and Poul-Erik Høyer Larsen, President of the BWF.
Competition format
The tournament started with a group phase round-robin followed by a knockout stage.
