Asylum is the second studio album by Detroit rapper Big Hoodoo. It was released on July 22, 2016 on Psychopathic Records.

Background

In late 2013 Big Hoodoo posted a picture via social media outlets that shown him in the studio working on his new album.

Big Hoodoo didn't mention his album. 2014, as he also collaborated with Axe Murder Boyz, Boondox, The Killjoy Club in 2014, as well as forming the group Tha Hav Knots and releasing the singles Happy Wicked Holiday in 2014 (on the The Family Fun Time Tour) and We Gunna Rock in 2015 (Shape Shifter Tour).

Promotion

In early 2016 he released the promotional poster for the album stating that it would be released soon. A while later it would be announed that the album would initially be released at the Gathering of the Juggalos (July 20, 2016 - July 23, 2016), and officially released nationwide on July 22, 2016. In mid 2016 the promotional video for the album was released.

Singles/Music Videos

The first single was Runnin' From My Magic initially only performed when on tour, Hoodoo incorporated the song into his playlist after the GOTJ and was performed starting with The Family Fun Time Tour in 2014. It would be released for availability in 2015 on the GOTJ Sampler.

The second single is titled Boom Boom Piggy (ft. Trick Trick) was released in October 2016 and was accompanied by a music video.
