ArtsBoston
ArtsBoston is a not-for-profit corporation assisting the performing arts industry in Boston, MA. Since its founding in 1975, ArtsBoston has been one of the nation's largest performing arts non-profits, second only to New York City's Theatre Development Fund.
ArtsBoston provides discount tickets to performing arts events at its BosTix booths and through its BosTix Advance program. In May 2009, ArtsBoston launched a new online arts and entertainment calendar for Greater Boston at ArtsBoston.org .
History
For more than 35 years, ArtsBoston has championed the local arts community by connecting people of every age and background with the cultural organizations that call Greater Boston home. Equally important, through innovative programs like ArtsBoston.org and BosTix ½ price ticketing that reach consumers both online and in person in Copley Square and Faneuil Hall Marketplace, area residents and visitors benefit from ArtsBoston’s commitment to keeping the arts accessible and affordable.
In 2011, ArtsBoston received a $70,000 grant by the Massachusetts Cultural Council Adams Arts Program.[1]
ArtsBoston.org
ArtsBoston.org is a comprehensive online arts and entertainment calendar for upcoming exhibits, performances, and concerts in the Greater Boston area. It is a “one stop shop” for arts and entertainment in Boston.
BosTix
BosTix Booths are located in Faneuil Hall Marketplace and Copley Square, and sell ½ price, day-of-show tickets. The booths also serve as a full-service Ticketmaster outlet, selling full-price tickets to events and local cultural attractions.[2]
