The Arrinera Hussarya is the first supercar to be produced by Polish automotive manufacturer Arrinera Automotive. It is Poland's first supercar.[4] It is named after Poland's Hussar cavalry.[5][6]

Prototype

The prototype of Arrinera premiered on 9 June 2011 to shareholders and investors. Some journalists have given the supercar name "Venocara", although Arrinera Automotive company has never used this name for its supercar.[7] It featured scissor doors for both the concept car and the production car.[8]

In August 2012 Arrinera Automotive has officially announced name of its supercar the Hussarya. The name is derived from Poland’s Hussar cavalry of the 16th century, known for their beauty, strength and maneuverability, and these are all traits Arrinera hopes to instill in its new supercar.[9]

Specifications

The Arrinera Hussarya 33 will be tested with a General Motors-sourced supercharged Mid-engine 6.2-litre V8 producing 800 PS (588 kW; 789 bhp). This engine based on GM's LS3 engine, and drives the rear wheels.[10][11][12]

Special editions

On 18 July 2012, it was announced that Arrinera would produce 33 units of a special "Series 33" version of the Hussarya, with exclusive designs on the exterior and the interior. Production was delayed but is expected to arrive in 2016.[13] Production was postponed several times during last few years.
