Arnold Susi (4 January 1896 in North Caucasus – 29 May 1968 Tallinn) was a lawyer and the Minister of Education in the Estonian Otto Tief's government established on 18 September 1944 during WWII.[1] He befriended Aleksandr Solzhenitsyn in Soviet prison. When writing The Gulag Archipelago Solzhenitsyn hid in his countryhouse in Estonia.[2] He has also written down his memories from days of World War I in book Doom of the Russian Empire (in Estonian: Vene impeeriumi hukk), which he wrote while in Abakan.
