Armeno is a comune (municipality) in the Province of Novara in the Italian region of Piedmont, located about 100 kilometres (62 mi) northeast of Turin and about 45 kilometres (28 mi) northwest of Novara. As of 31 December 2004, it had a population of 2,229 and an area of 31.6 square kilometres (12.2 sq mi).[1]
The municipality of Armeno contains the frazioni (subdivisions, mainly villages and hamlets) Sovazza, Coiromonte, Bàssola and Chéggino.
Armeno borders the following municipalities: Ameno, Brovello-Carpugnino (VB), Colazza, Gignese (VB), Massino Visconti, Miasino, Nebbiuno, Omegna (VB), Pettenasco and Pisano.
