Ardozyga poenicea is a species of moth in the family Gelechiidae. It was described by Turner in 1947. It is found in Australia, where it has been recorded from Queensland.[1]
The wingspan is about 16 mm. The forewings are dull ochreous-reddish. The stigmata are minute, fuscous, the first discal at two-fifths, the plical slightly beyond it, the second discal at two-thirds. There are minute fuscous dots on the apical third of the costa. The hindwings are whitish-grey.[2]
