Arborfield Cross

Arborfield Cross is a village in the English county of Berkshire. The village is situated at a cross-roads (now roundabout) on the A327 road some 3 miles south-east of the large town of Reading, 3 miles west of the smaller town of Wokingham, and half a mile to the east of the smaller village of Arborfield. Recently, both Arborfield and Arborfield Cross have become collectively known as Arborfield, there are no signs marking the boundary of Arborfield Cross. There is a mixture of housing, ranging from beautiful 15th century cottages through to modern housing.[1] The local public house is the Swan[2] which is the centre of village community life. And The Bull Inn.[3] There is a village stores and a garage where drivers can get their cars washed.
One Saturday in the summer there has been, until 2010 a charity gig in the park: Rock in the Rec.[4]
The village is within the civil parish of Arborfield and Newland, which is in turn within the unitary authority of Wokingham.
