Annette Tånnander
Annette Viveka Tånnander-Bank (born Annette Tånnander in Malmö, Sweden)[1] is a former Swedish athlete competing in the heptathlon and high jump events.[1] She represented her native country twice in the Olympics: She was seventh in the 1976 Montreal Olympic high jump, clearing 1.87m,[2] and finished 14th in the 1984 Los Angeles Olympic heptathlon with 5908 points.[1][3]
Coming to the U.S. in 1978 on a Track and Field scholarship, she received All-American Status at C U in Boulder, and still holds the Long jump and Heptathlon records there . After her athletic career she became a fitness trainer, massage therapist and co-author of the book The Complete Idiots Guide To Fitness with Claire Walter.[4] Tånnander-Bank is a proponent of nordic walking and currently lives in Louisville, Colorado, USA.[5]
