Anita Straker
Anita Straker, OBE, CB is a British educationalist. After teaching maths at schools, she became a school inspector.[1] From the Department of Education, she pioneered computers in schools.
In the 1980s, she wrote the educational games Martello Tower and Merlin's Castle for the BBC Micro.[2] In the 1990s, she designed the National Numeracy Strategy for primary school children in the UK.[3]
Straker has been honoured with the CB and the OBE. She has written several maths textbooks.[4]
