Animated object (Dungeons & Dragons)
In the Dungeons & Dragons fantasy roleplaying game, the animated object is a type of fictional monster for player characters to encounter.
Publication history
Animated objects first appeared in the third edition Monster Manual.[1] They also appeared in the 3.5 version of the Monster Manual.[2]
Description
Animated objects are constructs which come in all shapes, sizes, and colors. They owe their existence to spells such as animate objects and similar supernatural abilities.[2]:13–14

The animated object appeared in Paizo Publishing's book Pathfinder Roleplaying Game Bestiary (2009), on page 14.[3]
