Alex Meret (born 22 March 1997) is an Italian footballer who plays as a goalkeeper for Serie B club SPAL, on loan from Udinese.[1]
Club career
Meret is a youth exponent from Udinese.
In the 2015–2016 season he has been promoted in the first team as second-choice goalkeeper behind Orestis Karnezis. He made his senior professional debut on 2 December 2015 in the Coppa Italia against Atalanta.[2]
In July 2016, Meret is sent on loan to Serie B club SPAL.[3]
International career
With the Italy U19 team he took part at the 2016 UEFA European Under-19 Championship, finishing as runner-up.
