Aleksandr Petrov (born May 25, 1983) is an Estonian professional ice hockey player who currently plays for the HC Valpellice of the Italian Serie A. He has also played for the Estonian national team in international tournaments.
International play
Petrov first represented the Estonian national junior team at the World Junior Championship in 2000, where Estonia played in Pool C. He made his debut with the senior team the following year at the 2001 World Championship, in which Estonia played in Division I, the second highest level. Petrov has represented Estonia at twelve World Championships. At the 2012 World Championship, where Estonia played in Division IIA, the fourth tier of the newly organised tournament, Petrov finished third in scoring with twelve points in five games, and was named the best forward of the tournament.[1]
