Alcanivorax pacificus is a species of pyrene-degrading bacteria. Its genome had been sequenced.[1] It is Gram-negative and oxidase- and catalase-positive. Its type strain is W11-5T (=MCCC 1A00474T =CCTCC AB 208236T =LMG 25514T).[2]
