Albin Chalandon (born 11 June 1920 in Reyrieux, Ain) is a French politician and a former minister.[1]

Between 1968 and 1972, he was Minister of Public Works. And from 1986 until 1988, he was Minister of Justice.

Between 1967 and 1968, he was a member of the Union pour la nouvelle République, then between 1968 and 1976 he was a member of the Union of Democrats for the Republic and finally from 1986 until 1988 he was a member of the Rally for the Republic. In 1987, he was Minister of Justice.

He encouraged Rachida Dati to become a judge.
